RSTBKT Wagovan

With so many Honda enthusiasts, I almost saw everything, almost. Car cultures always come in contact whether it's on the roads or a shared car show. This Wagovan has the best of both worlds.
Many people look at the Wagovan in digust, but you have to know what your looking at to love it. Taking a rust-free project and completely rusting out the exterior is commonly frowned upon, somehow it looks like it was made for this car.
Still pulled around by the original d-series, the beautifully wire tucked, painted, slightly modified d-series.
The rims were custom made to capture the classic look and theme. The owner also added mooneye fender mirrors and Honda Ruckus LED side marker lights for his own personal touch.
Adding your own personal touch to a car is just like a dog claiming his territory, its needed to show others this is yours and only yours. Sticker bombing the rear window and pin striping the very custom paint job aren't usually used together but James Rasmussen doesn't care, he continues to break the barrier between hot rods and imports.

Even when you get closer and closer you continue to capture the detail that was used in this paint scheme, hand sanded to get light and dark spots in the rust like the light sections around the door jamb.

Making the whole roof a rag top, this owner had a bit of thinking how to make this perfect but anything is possible.
Not everyone's choice in seat covers, but clearly throughout this Wagovan are details no one would've expected.
A custom walnut steering wheel to accompany the tiki shift knob and e-brake handle.
A larger picture of the interior shows how it all goes together.
Courtesy of a close friend, this old stop sign was cut and pressed with another piece of sheet metal for the visors.
Using old skateboards wheels with LED's in them for the third brake light.
Continuing with the bright colored wheels, you crank on these to get some fresh air.
Keeping the d-series simple, some obvious mods are headers in wrap, hot-rod style intake, full wire tuck, and a little bit of engine dress up.

Adding subtle things into the equation can make it all happen, the owner threw on some of these yellow Mooneyes spark plug wires.
A little bit of camber on those custom wheels.
